Finding articles

Using google scholar, Taylor and Francis and other sources I looked for articles to support my finding. These would be supporting my investigation into Instagram as a tool for environmental comic activism. I would find articles and then sort them into folders of importance. Not all articles stayed relevant as the scope of the dissertation narrowed but reading them was useful in finding interesting terms and could still be useful as the dissertation creation goes on.
Below is my favorites bar for the dissertation so far in edge.

Finding my comic case studies

Below are the final case studies I chose. I found that it could be interesting to also explore my own practice and so this would be the last chapter of my dissertation.

Greenpeace meme was chosen because I found that it was interesting that comics could be appropriating for what I would argue is good. Versus what I would first think when someone would say a comic character appropriated  politically, I would think of Pepe the frog. A comic character that's become a symbol for racist views.

Before I narrowed down my idea to focus on environmental comic activism, I started with Instagram posts that were environmental art activism. Below are the posts I found.
