Examples of artists/designers who take a strong ethical and/or political stance in their work

Frida Kahlo, Self-Portrait with Stalin, 1954
'Marxist, nationalist, feminist – these are the words that describe not only the political convictions but also the artworks of Frida Kahlo' (K.Grass, 2023).

Frida Kahlo during her lifetime was heavily involved in Mexico's communist party and created the painting below  'as a reaction to Sigmund Freud’s book Moses and Monotheism' (K.Grass, 2023). A lot of her work reflects her ethical beliefs and political views.
